Senior Associate, Hedge Fund Accounting

Location: Boston, Massachusetts; hybrid work

Salary: $55,000–$115,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Manage daily hedge fund accounting operations, including cash, position, and market value reconciliations.
• Process and monitor trade activity and maintain accurate investment records.
• Review accruals, expenses, fee calculations, corporate actions, pricing, and event data.
• Perform daily and monthly analytical reviews of fund performance and financial results.
• Collaborate with investment managers, prime brokers, auditors, and tax teams to resolve breaks.
• Prepare audit and tax schedules and contribute to process improvements in a high-volume trading environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Mathematics.
• At least 2 years of experience in accounting or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and core accounting principles.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong attention to detail, ownership, communication, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Nice to have

• CPA or MBA designation, or progress toward certification.
• Experience with alternative investment funds.
