Enterprise Architect

Location: McKinney, Texas, United States; hybrid office and remote work environment. Approximately 10–20% travel to business locations may be required.

What you will do

• Define and maintain the enterprise architecture vision, principles, standards, reference architectures, governance framework, and future-state models.
• Develop business capability maps, application portfolio views, technology roadmaps, and current-state architecture models.
• Lead architecture planning across ERP, finance, HR, supply chain, logistics, cloud, SaaS, integration, and other enterprise platforms.
• Lead Architecture Review Board activities and advise project teams on solution design, integration, cybersecurity, scalability, cost, risk, and maintainability.
• Partner with business, data, and analytics leaders on master data management, governance, reporting, analytics, data quality, and AI readiness.
• Evaluate AI, automation, cloud services, and digital platforms; communicate recommendations to executive, business, and technical audiences and mentor technology professionals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• At least 15 years of progressive experience across enterprise applications, technology platforms, solution architecture, and related IT disciplines.
• At least 7 years of domain or solution architecture experience and 3 years of enterprise architecture experience in complex, multi-platform environments.
• Experience establishing architecture standards, governance practices, technology roadmaps, and cross-domain architecture direction.
• Expertise across business, application, data, integration, security, cloud, infrastructure, and technology architecture, including ERP, SaaS, APIs, middleware, EDI, and application modernization.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, multi-cloud, on-premise, or hybrid technology environments, plus strong strategic thinking, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Experience in building products distribution, wholesale distribution, retail, manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, construction services, or acquisition-oriented industries.
• Experience with LeanIX, Ardoq, Sparx, MEGA, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Descartes, Esker, OneStream, or similar platforms.
• Experience with AI architecture, responsible AI governance, intelligent workflows, enterprise automation, complex technology initiatives, or organizational change.
• TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.
