Senior QA Engineer (SDET)

Location: Remote

Expected full-time base salary: $130K–$150K per year, with potential equity, paid time off, and benefits.

What you will do

• Own QA automation from project kickoff through release, maintenance, and continuous improvement.
• Write unit, component, API, and browser tests using the appropriate layer for each risk.
• Build repeatable fixtures and isolated test data to validate workflows and data integrity.
• Partner with engineering and product teams on testability, acceptance criteria, and shared testing practices.
• Diagnose CI failures, improve unreliable tests, and communicate coverage, failures, and remaining risk.
• Monitor system health, triage client-facing production issues, and convert findings into regression coverage.

Requirements

• Senior-level ownership of test automation or software engineering work.
• Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, Node, and React applications.
• Experience with Jest, Playwright, or comparable modern test frameworks.
• Ability to use SQL to investigate data issues and verify persisted behavior in PostgreSQL or a similar database.
• Experience with AI-assisted development and independently validating generated code and assertions.
• Experience diagnosing CI and production issues using logs and tools such as Sentry or Grafana.
