What you will do

• Support the product team during a four-month co-op term starting in January 2027, with potential for extension.
• Contribute to the development of new product features and deliver measurable impact for the business.
• Apply statistical modeling and machine learning techniques to data science problems.
• Perform rigorous, unbiased analysis and develop practical solutions for customers and stakeholders.
• Communicate and collaborate with non-technical stakeholders across the organization.
• Work in a fast-paced, agile environment that requires critical thinking and creative problem-solving.

Requirements

• Currently in the third year of an undergraduate program in statistics, computer science, mathematics, physics, economics, or another technical discipline; graduate students may also be considered.
• Strong coding ability in R and/or Python.
• Technical understanding and experience with statistical modeling and machine learning.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and business judgment skills.
• Ability to work from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Nice to have

• Experience with SQL.
• Experience with big data or deploying models into production, including Spark, AWS, Docker, Flask, or plumber.
• Passion for social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, or Pinterest.
• Strong academic performance, relevant coursework, competitions, a portfolio, or a Git account.
