Data Scientist, Ricochet Anti-Cheat (Call of Duty)

Salary: $88,700–$164,080 annual base pay in the U.S.

What you will do

• Analyze gameplay telemetry, enforcement data, behavioral signals, and other large-scale datasets to investigate cheating patterns and anti-cheat outcomes.
• Collaborate on ETL, data analysis, and measurement strategies for machine-learning-assisted detection, prevention, and response systems.
• Design experiments and analyses to measure the impact of models, detections, interventions, and enforcement workflows.
• Validate new anti-cheat detections and model changes while assessing effectiveness and false-positive risk.
• Build dashboards, recurring reports, and executive-level summaries that communicate trends, impact, and impediments.
• Partner with anti-cheat engineers, analysts, operations specialists, game designers, and producers to prioritize improvements.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience applying data science to real-world problems with measurable user or business impact.
• Experience working with large data volumes, experimentation, impact measurement, statistical analysis, metrics development, dashboards, and repeatable analytical workflows.
• Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Data Science, Computer Science, Data Analysis, Statistics, or a related field.
• Proficiency with Python, SQL, and PySpark, plus practical knowledge of ETL, data quality, schema evolution, and reproducible analysis.
• Familiarity with large-scale data lake or warehouse platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, or similar systems.
• Strong communication, analytical judgment, and ability to turn ambiguous or noisy data into clear recommendations.

Nice to have

• Experience with agentic orchestration workflows, machine-learning-assisted detection systems, model monitoring, or adversarial behavior analysis.
• Experience with game telemetry, player behavior analysis, or live-service game operations.
• Familiarity with Call of Duty systems, competitive multiplayer ecosystems, or common cheating methods.
• Experience automating analysis, anomaly detection, or reporting workflows with SQL, Python, or scripting.
