Associate SIU Investigator (Insurance Fraud)

Annual base salary: $57,900–$95,600

What you will do

• Learn and apply foundational investigative techniques, including database searches, to identify potentially fraudulent aspects of insurance claims.
• Analyze, monitor, and summarize technical information into actionable investigative strategies.
• Evaluate evidence, collect relevant information, and apply rules of evidence and applicable local, state, and federal statutes.
• Maintain contact with claim, legal, underwriting, law enforcement, public-sector, customer, and external business partners.
• Assist with potential insurance fraud prosecution cases and submit questionable claims to the National Insurance Crime Bureau.

Requirements

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or a related field, or five years of insurance claims investigation or professional law enforcement investigation experience.
• Analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking, influence, and conflict-management skills.
• Ability to manage cases independently in a high-volume environment with shifting priorities.
• Foundational knowledge of insurance, claims operations, Commercial Lines, Personal Lines, and Workers Compensation products.
• Experience with data-gathering and visualization platforms or software.
• Familiarity with artificial intelligence tools.
