Construction Superintendent, Power Generation - Memphis

Location: Full-time onsite role based in Southaven, Mississippi, in the Memphis region; relocation within the US is required.

What you will do

• Oversee mechanical installations for gas turbine and generator auxiliaries, fuel gas piping, process and BOP piping, pumps, heat exchangers, air systems, water and cooling systems, HVAC, and fire protection.
• Manage and schedule onsite foremen and mechanical crews to meet project milestones, quality standards, and budget targets.
• Track daily construction progress through logs, red-line drawings, as-built documentation, inspections, metrics, and risk reports.
• Enforce safety, mechanical codes, quality requirements, and reliability standards across work involving heavy equipment, pressurized systems, fuel gas, and elevated work.
• Resolve material, sequencing, technical, and trade-coordination issues with electrical, civil, and process teams.
• Support mechanical completion, flushing, hydrotesting, first fire, commissioning, and turnover to operations.

Requirements

• Must work onsite in Southaven, Mississippi, and be able to relocate within the US depending on construction locations.
• At least 3 years of experience managing construction teams on large-scale industrial, power generation, or mission-critical mechanical projects.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with mechanical or electrical installations, including process piping, pumps, heat exchangers, and plant mechanical systems.
• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• Ability to work in industrial environments with noise, heavy equipment, excavations, and mechanical systems, including evenings and weekends as required.
• Ability to lift 25+ lbs and perform physically demanding work in outdoor and confined conditions; pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing and background checks are required.

Nice to have

• Postsecondary diploma or degree in construction management, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
• Experience supervising construction for gas turbine plants, generating stations, or similar industrial facilities.
• Knowledge of Memphis-area building codes, IMC, ASME, NFPA, and industrial permitting.
• Experience with Procore, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar construction management tools.
• Experience coordinating mechanical construction through commissioning and start-up, with strong knowledge of fuel gas, lube oil, compressed air, cooling water, and BOP piping systems.
