Process Engineer (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Design, control, and optimize material-processing operations including web handling, coating, drying, curing, extrusion, and winding.
• Provide day-to-day technical support for coating operations and resolve work-in-process, quality, and equipment reliability issues.
• Manage engineering projects involving loss reduction, equipment upgrades, sequence modifications, and capital equipment acquisitions.
• Support new product launches, define raw material specifications, perform component failure analyses, and validate product fitness for use.
• Improve environmental health and safety practices and create troubleshooting guides, operating procedures, and operator training programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; engineering or engineering technology preferred.
• 4+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of process optimization; web handling and coating experience preferred.
• Understanding of engineering software, hardware systems, technical process controls, and function-specific software.
• Ability to work strategically and tactically in a fast-paced, cross-functional, matrixed manufacturing environment.

Nice to have

• Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt certification.
• Practical experience applying Lean methodologies and continuous improvement tools.
