Staff Product Manager (Federal Civilian)

Location: Remote across the United States; federal security clearance and customer suitability requirements apply

Salary: $120,000–$160,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead product strategy, vision, roadmap development, prioritization, and delivery for complex digital products and services.
• Partner with government customers and stakeholders to understand priorities, user needs, and desired outcomes.
• Translate research, customer feedback, data, and technical considerations into product requirements and actionable plans.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, research, delivery, program, and project teams throughout product development.
• Facilitate product planning, roadmap reviews, discovery activities, stakeholder discussions, and iterative delivery.
• Identify risks and opportunities, communicate tradeoffs, and advise technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of relevant professional experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of experience in product management, digital product development, digital services, software delivery, or a related discipline.
• Experience defining product strategy, vision, roadmaps, priorities, requirements, and backlogs for complex products or services.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary product, engineering, design, research, and delivery teams.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, human-centered design, product discovery, and iterative development.
• Must currently hold or have recently held a Moderate Risk Public Trust determination or Secret/Top Secret clearance and be able to complete additional federal suitability, fitness, and financial background requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with federal government contracting, federal civilian agencies, or public-facing digital services.
• Experience with digital transformation, web modernization, content platforms, analytics, experimentation, or complex technology products.
• Experience with Jira, GitHub, or similar product management and collaboration tools.
• Product Management, Agile, Scrum, SAFe, or comparable professional certification.
