Senior Software Developer III (AI)

Location: Fully remote within Colombia; listed cities are Medellin and Bogotá.

What you will do

• Design architectures, prototypes, RFCs, and implementation plans for platform initiatives.
• Build and operate the AWS AgentCore Gateway layer, MCP tool targets, inbound agent access, and target registries.
• Implement tenant isolation, credential handling, allowlisting, egress control, authorization, scope propagation, and rate limiting.
• Develop persistent-connection and on-premise connectivity flows with session lifecycle, request correlation, recovery, and graceful degradation.
• Design OpenAPI contracts, target runtimes, versioning, tracing, SLOs, monitoring, and incident-response capabilities.
• Mentor developers and lead technical discussions involving architecture, AI-assisted development, and engineering standards.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software development experience and a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience designing and operating distributed, cloud-native, SaaS or multi-tenant platforms at scale, preferably on AWS.
• Strong software fundamentals, including object-oriented programming, design patterns, SOLID principles, and code quality practices.
• Experience with agentic AI development, HTTP APIs, architectural influence, and developer mentorship.
• Experience with MCP, multi-tenant gateways or API platforms, untrusted endpoint integration, multi-hop authorization, and persistent or streaming architectures.
• English: high B2 required. Must be located in Colombia.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS Bedrock, AgentCore, LLM provider routing, or agent-to-agent protocols.
• Experience building external developer or partner platform surfaces.
• Experience integrating cloud services with on-premise or embedded clients.
• Familiarity with CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform, or regulated environments.
