Data Engineer (Microsoft Fabric)

Salary: $73,500–$117,900 annually

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain robust, efficient, compliant data pipeline architecture.
• Build and maintain service-based architecture for publishing consumable data and information objects.
• Automate manual processes, optimize data delivery, and redesign infrastructure for scalability.
• Collaborate with data architects, data analysts, software development teams, business stakeholders, and end users.
• Define data quality, protection, governance, performance, and adoption standards across the enterprise.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data integration alerts and failures.

Requirements

• At least five years of data engineering experience in an oversight capacity.
• Extensive financial services industry experience and experience with Microsoft cloud technologies in a hybrid architecture.
• Advanced T-SQL, relational databases, stored procedures, and end-to-end data pipeline development experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric pipelines, notebooks, Lakehouse/Warehouse concepts, and medallion architecture.
• Experience with SQL Server, SSIS, Azure Integration Services, ActiveBatch, web services, API integrations, Python, and PowerShell.
• Understanding of data modeling, metadata management, data lineage, compliance, DataOps, DevOps, and data security.
