Data Engineer V (Databricks)

Location: Remote within the United States

Salary: $85,000–$100,000 per year, plus annual bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines with Databricks and Spark.
• Integrate and transform source data into curated, analytics-ready data layers and models.
• Collaborate with product, analytics, and engineering teams to deliver data-driven solutions.
• Maintain data dictionaries, lineage, and other documentation.
• Query, manage, optimize, and tune SQL Server data environments.
• Use AI-enabled tools and analytics responsibly to improve decision-making and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• 8 years of relevant experience in data engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, including strong SQL Server query optimization and performance tuning.
• Experience with cloud data platforms, preferably Azure.
• Experience building, orchestrating, and managing data pipelines and workflow processes.
• Strong Git-based version control, project delivery, problem-solving, autonomy, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

• Experience with PySpark, Databricks SQL, DAX, data modeling, star schemas, or dimensional modeling.
• Experience creating Power BI reports.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum, coding standards, and communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
