Embedded Software Engineering Intern, Platform (AI Robotics)

US base pay: $40.00–$45.00 per hour

What you will do

• Design, implement, and test robot platform features, including OTA delivery, firmware update flows, and embedded Linux systems.
• Integrate, debug, and validate software updates across software and hardware layers on real robot hardware.
• Improve the reliability, security, and scalability of software deployment across the robot fleet.
• Measure the impact of platform improvements and communicate results and recommendations.

Requirements

• Be a rising senior or recent graduate in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, graduating within one year.
• Commit to a minimum of 10 weeks.
• Strong programming skills in C, C++, Rust, or Python.
• Experience with Linux and networking fundamentals.

Nice to have

• Experience with embedded Linux build and update tools such as Yocto, RAUC, or SWUpdate.
• Experience with firmware development, bootloaders, or hardware bring-up.
• Familiarity with applied cryptography, including code signing, PKI, or secure boot.
