Platform Engineer (Cloud/Kubernetes)

Location: Remote, based anywhere in the European Union. Candidates must hold citizenship in an EU member state and have the right to work in the EU.

Salary: €120,000–€140,000 per year, plus potential equity awards and discretionary bonuses.

What you will do

• Deploy and operate Game Warden and other products across AWS, Azure, GCP, and sovereign-cloud environments in European regions.
• Build landing zones and reference architectures that address sovereignty, customer control, GDPR, and accreditation requirements.
• Govern Kubernetes, container runtimes, and infrastructure-as-code tooling to ensure repeatable deployments.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD, networking, identity, monitoring, observability, and security controls for regulated and potentially air-gapped environments.
• Implement technical controls and documentation for EAL, FedRAMP, GovRAMP, NATO, UK MOD, and equivalent accreditation regimes.
• Prepare production environments, resolve operational constraints, and hand deployments to delivery teams with complete runbooks and technical evidence.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevSecOps, cloud infrastructure, SRE, or systems engineering in production environments.
• Deep experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, or equivalent cloud platforms operating at scale.
• Production-grade Kubernetes and container orchestration experience.
• Hands-on infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
• Experience building, securing, and operating CI/CD pipelines under regulatory or high-assurance requirements.
• EU citizenship, the right to work in the EU, and residence in the EU are required. Fluent English is required.

Nice to have

• Government or NATO security clearance, or eligibility to obtain one.
• Experience with air-gapped, classified, or other high-assurance environments.
• Familiarity with EAL/Common Criteria, FedRAMP, GovRAMP, NATO, UK MOD, NIS-2, or CRA frameworks.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, Rust, or another systems or scripting language.
