Staff Cloud Platform Engineer

Location: Remote across Canada; hybrid in Ottawa and Toronto

What you will do

• Act as a trusted technical lead for complex cloud platform and infrastructure challenges.
• Develop cloud reference architectures and guide teams in their implementation.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and build secure, high-performing, resilient cloud infrastructure.
• Enable self-service deployment and streamline delivery through modern platform tooling.
• Lead code and design reviews while mentoring junior engineers.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams on platform capabilities and delivery processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5–7 years of progressively complex experience in cloud engineering roles.
• Expertise with at least one major public cloud platform; GCP experience is preferred.
• Experience automating cloud applications, infrastructure, storage, platforms, and data.
• Development experience with Go, Python, and/or Shell/Bash.
• Strong system design knowledge, operational reliability judgment, and practical Agile/Scrum experience.
