Senior Platform Engineer (Cloud)

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid working with 2 days per week in the Paddington Central office at 4 Kingdom Street. Remote flexibility is available on other days.

What you will do

• Design, build, and evolve cloud platform capabilities for scalable, secure, and reliable solutions.
• Create automated, reusable, and self-service platform solutions that improve developer experience.
• Establish high-quality platform design and engineering standards.
• Enable automation, reliability, and cost optimization at scale.
• Simplify and standardize how services are built and operated through engineering best practices.
• Mentor engineers, influence technical direction, and collaborate across teams on cloud-native solutions.

Requirements

• Extensive experience with public cloud services and cloud-native architectures, including networking, security, and governance.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform or CloudFormation, and scripting with Python or Bash.
• Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Deep understanding of cloud security frameworks, identity management, and compliance standards including ISO, SOC, and GDPR.
• Experience designing scalable, resilient, and cost-efficient cloud solutions in enterprise environments.
• Strong analytical, communication, mentoring, and technical decision-making skills.
