Senior Platform Engineer (Cloud)

Location: London, UK; hybrid working with 2–3 days per week in the office at Paddington Central

What you will do

• Design, build, and evolve platform capabilities for scalable, secure, and reliable cloud solutions.
• Create automated, reusable, and self-service solutions that improve developer experience and delivery consistency.
• Set platform design standards and embed best practices for building and operating services.
• Improve automation, reliability, and cloud cost optimisation at scale.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver cloud-native solutions aligned with business goals.
• Mentor and support engineers while influencing technical direction.

Requirements

• Extensive experience with public cloud services and cloud-native architectures, including networking, security, and governance.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Strong scripting experience with Python or Bash for complex automation workflows.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Deep understanding of cloud security frameworks, identity management, and compliance standards including ISO, SOC, and GDPR.
• Experience designing scalable, resilient, and cost-efficient cloud solutions in enterprise environments, plus mentoring experience and strong communication skills.
