Senior Software Engineer, Network Development

Location: Livingston, New Jersey; New York, New York; Sunnyvale, California; or Bellevue, Washington, USA

Base salary: $165,000–$220,000 per year, plus discretionary bonus, equity awards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain platforms and services for network configuration generation, device provisioning, workflow automation, observability, internal CLIs, and APIs.
• Plan complex multi-month projects, manage dependencies, and drive several concurrent initiatives.
• Lead technical direction through RFCs, design reviews, architecture decisions, and shippable implementation plans.
• Write tested and documented software in Python and Go while improving CI/CD, reliability, service health, and operational tooling.
• Collaborate with Network Engineering, Observability, Fleet Engineering, and HPC teams, and participate in the on-call rotation.
• Mentor engineers, review code and designs, and support blameless incident follow-up.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience building and operating production infrastructure, platform, or backend systems at scale.
• Strong proficiency in Python and Go, with solid CI/CD experience.
• Experience with workflow automation, orchestration, automated device provisioning, and Zero Touch Provisioning.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals including IP addressing, subnetting, routing, switching, NTP, and DNS.
• Comfort with Linux and Kubernetes, plus infrastructure and observability tools such as Ansible, Jinja, NetBox, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Applicants must satisfy U.S. export-control access requirements, including U.S. person status or eligibility for the required authorization.
