AI Product Manager

Location: Remote within the United States; occasional onsite meetings at the client site in Washington, DC. U.S. citizenship, U.S. residence, U.S. work authorization, and three full years lived in the U.S. during the last five years are required. All work must be performed in the U.S.; access from foreign locations and foreign IP addresses is blocked.

Salary: $74,090.00–$125,954.00 annually for full-time employment.

What you will do

• Own contractor-side backlog readiness for an assigned delivery domain.
• Translate approved business needs into features, user stories, requirements, and testable acceptance criteria.
• Lead discovery, stakeholder clarification, requirements workshops, backlog grooming, dependency identification, and decision tracking.
• Prepare sprint-ready stories with the Functional Lead and Agile Delivery Manager.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, security, governance, quality, data science, and customer-facing stakeholders.
• Document work products, decisions, risks, and delivery evidence to support traceability and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and authorization to work in the U.S. are required.
• All work must be performed in the U.S., and the candidate must reside in the U.S.
• Bachelor's degree in product management, business administration, information systems, computer science, data analytics, public administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
• At least six years of relevant experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar professional supporting AI-focused initiatives.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organization, prioritization, and facilitation skills.
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, SAFe, or similar iterative delivery frameworks is required or relevant to the role.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI, machine learning, generative AI, analytics, and data products.
• Familiarity with Azure, Databricks, Power BI, Azure Machine Learning, or similar cloud-based analytics and AI platforms.
• Experience with data governance, privacy, security, compliance, and Responsible AI in regulated environments.
• Experience supporting federal government, healthcare, or other highly regulated environments.
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, product roadmaps, release plans, success metrics, and adoption strategies.
