Senior Engineering Technician (Electronics)

Location: Nampa, Idaho, United States; travel to manufacturing facilities in Pullman, Washington and Lewiston, Idaho is required for training, process familiarization, and relationship building.

Pay range: $43.33–$65.62 per hour.

What you will do

• Perform functional and type tests on complex electronic hardware and software with limited supervision.
• Create and oversee engineering development test plans.
• Design and build engineering prototypes and test fixtures, documenting construction and maintaining engineering records.
• Equip and maintain laboratories, conduct laboratory reviews, and recommend equipment purchases.
• Train technicians and engineers on test setup and execution and participate in engineering design reviews.
• Process moderately complex Engineering Change Orders and document laboratory procedures.

Requirements

• Two-year associate degree in electronic technology or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience testing and analyzing complex electronic circuitry.
• Proficiency with modern analog and digital electronics, electronic circuits, and test equipment.
• Working knowledge of IEEE, IEC, and SEL test standards.
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills, with the ability to learn new skills and work cooperatively in a team environment.
• Must be willing and able to travel to SEL facilities in Pullman, Washington and Lewiston, Idaho. Satisfactory background check and negative drug test results are required.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with C and assembly languages.
• Experience with operating systems and computer equipment.
• Practical knowledge of three-phase power systems.
