Senior Engineering Tech (Aerospace & Defense)

Location: Farmingdale, NY, United States; onsite role

Salary: $69,483–$115,804 per year, with a possible annual or quarterly bonus and shift premium for eligible alternative shifts.

What you will do

• Build, test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify developmental electronic components, circuits, systems, and equipment.
• Assemble complex experimental circuitry and complete prototype models.
• Set up test apparatus and develop test equipment and circuitry for functional, operational, environmental, and life testing.
• Read engineering drawings, execute test procedures, record results, and analyze test data.
• Recommend circuit changes based on testing results and troubleshoot problems.
• Assist engineers during field testing of deployed systems and prepare status reports.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• Must be a US citizen or otherwise have a background permitting the US Department of Defense to issue a Secret clearance when required.
• Must comply with US export control, ITAR, EAR, and OFAC requirements; access to ITAR products and technical data is restricted to US citizens and US permanent residents.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and test procedures.
