Salary: $107,323–$188,741 per year, with possible annual or quarterly bonus.

What you will do

  • Lead the design and development of high-reliability power converters, motor controllers, and analog circuitry from concept through production release.
  • Establish power architectures, estimate design schedules, assess trade-offs, and support customer proposals and requirements.
  • Perform SPICE or PSIM simulations, worst-case tolerance analysis, thermal and power dissipation analysis, and control-loop stability evaluation.
  • Design test circuits and procedures, develop test stations, characterize hardware, and correlate simulated performance with test results.
  • Support design reviews, manufacturing assessments, power-layout and magnetics reviews, and EMI/EMC compliance activities.
  • Lead and mentor engineers, interns, co-ops, test engineers, and technicians while coordinating with customers and other engineering disciplines.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in power electronics or analog hardware design.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Strong experience with power topologies such as buck, boost, flyback, and resonant converters.
  • Working knowledge of LTSpice, PSpice, or similar circuit simulation tools for power electronics and control-loop stability analysis.
  • Experience with analog circuit design, motor drivers, thermal management, EMI/EMC mitigation, and military or aerospace standards.
  • Must have a background that would permit the US Department of Defense to issue a Secret clearance when required. ITAR-controlled technical data and products may be restricted to US Citizens and US Permanent Residents.

  • Master’s degree focused on Power Electronics.
