Staff Accountant III

Location: Denver, Colorado, USA

Salary: $96,300–$120,400 per year, with eligibility for variable compensation.

What you will do

• Prepare complex account analyses, journal entries, and supporting schedules during the month-end close.
• Manage advanced accounting processes, including percentage-of-completion accounting, deferred revenue and warranty amortization, and intercompany transactions.
• Analyze customer contracts and determine appropriate revenue recognition under ASC 606.
• Support SAP or OneStream process implementation and testing, financial reporting, and interdepartmental collaboration.
• Assist with internal and external audits, maintain process documentation, and advance continuous improvement projects.
• Own special projects and drive them through completion.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of related accounting experience.
• Advanced accounting knowledge with the ability to communicate analyses, trends, and accounting treatment to upper management.
• Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley, GAAP, and FASB.
• Ability to meet aggressive deadlines and manage complex accounting work.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
• CPA or CMP certification.
• Experience with SAP or a similar ERP system.
• Experience evaluating complex revenue recognition arrangements under ASC 606.
• Public accounting experience or experience with AI automation for month-end processes.
