M&A Analyst (Fintech)

Location: Mountain View, US; hybrid work with in-office attendance 2–3 days per week, open to applicants based in the Bay Area

Salary: $150,936–$184,478 base salary per year, plus equity and benefits

What you will do

• Support the full M&A transaction lifecycle, including target screening, due diligence, valuation, and integration planning.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models, perform valuation analyses, and assess the strategic fit of potential targets.
• Conduct industry and market research covering trends, competitive landscapes, and strategic opportunities.
• Analyze financial statements and key performance indicators to support investment recommendations.
• Prepare investment memoranda and presentations for senior management and the board of directors.
• Coordinate with finance, legal, operations, and external advisors, and support post-merger integration and synergy realization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of investment banking experience or equivalent experience.
• Sell-side M&A transaction execution experience, including financial modeling, valuation, and due diligence.
• Strong financial, research, analytical, and quantitative skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with strong attention to detail.
