Senior Manager, Data Center Security Engineering

Location: Livingston, New Jersey, United States

Base salary: $157,000–$210,000 per year, plus discretionary bonus, equity awards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead and develop the Data Center Security Engineering team, including roadmap planning, prioritization, performance management, and professional development.
• Define technical standards for access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and advanced AI security systems.
• Oversee commissioning, configuration, testing, operational readiness, maintenance, patching, and lifecycle management for physical security systems.
• Manage Genetec Security Center, including Synergis and Omnicast, along with related hardware, servers, networking, and integrations.
• Ensure alignment with ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST 800-53, enterprise security baselines, and audit evidence requirements.
• Coordinate with Security, IT, Facilities, GSOC, project managers, contractors, integrators, vendors, and risk teams.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in security, IT, physical systems engineering, or security technology deployment in enterprise environments.
• 5+ years managing or leading teams responsible for physical security system administration or commissioning.
• Advanced knowledge of Genetec Security Center, access control hardware, CCTV architecture, and alarm systems.
• Strong IT fundamentals, including VLANs, DHCP, NAT, subnetting, Windows Server administration, and REST APIs.
• Experience supporting regulatory compliance, preparing audit evidence, and managing multiple infrastructure initiatives across sites or regions.
• Applicants must meet U.S. export-control access requirements, including U.S. person status or eligibility for access or export authorization.

Nice to have

• Certifications in Genetec Security Center, BioConnect, HID, Mercury, Axis, or other access control platforms.
• Experience managing physical security technology in colocation or cloud-scale data center environments.
• Experience with change management, documentation control, Good Documentation Practices, SOPs, and commissioning plans.
• Experience leading hybrid or distributed engineering teams in fast-paced, scaling organizations.
