Billing Specialist (Healthcare Reimbursement)

Location: Remote or hybrid in the United States; occasional remote authorized. hirify.global HQ: New York City.

What you will do

• Conduct patient intake discovery calls and support benefits verification and prior authorization for personal exoskeleton candidates.
• Collect clinical documentation, prepare and track claims, manage payer correspondence, and resolve denials and appeals.
• Support billing operations for affiliated physical therapy practices, including charge capture, claims submission, and payment posting.
• Manage payer enrollment and provider credentialing for existing and future hubs.
• Track accounts receivable, interpret claims data, and prepare reimbursement and revenue summaries.
• Develop standardized, scalable billing workflows and collaborate with clinical, operations, finance, and reimbursement teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience in healthcare billing, reimbursement, or revenue cycle management is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with claims submission, denials, appeals, benefits verification, payer policies, and reimbursement guidelines.
• Strong organizational, data-tracking, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage complex workstreams, coordinate multiple payers and stakeholders, and implement sustainable solutions.
• Ability to work remotely or in a hybrid setup in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with physical therapy billing or durable medical equipment reimbursement.
