AR Billing Supervisor (Healthcare Revenue Cycle)

Location: Remote in Arizona, Texas, Nevada, or Wisconsin; hybrid in Utah or Idaho

What you will do

• Oversee full-cycle accounts receivable, collections, billing, reimbursement, and reconciliation for assigned senior living communities.
• Lead Medicaid, waiver, and managed care billing across multiple states, including eligibility, authorizations, claim submission, and reimbursement tracking.
• Manage denials, rejections, recoupments, underpayments, appeals, and other reimbursement discrepancies.
• Analyze aging, collections, denials, pending Medicaid applications, reimbursement timeliness, and bad debt trends.
• Develop procedures, corrective action plans, training, and best practices for AR and Medicaid operations.
• Prepare performance reports, support audits and month-end close, and collaborate with operational and revenue cycle leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of healthcare revenue cycle, accounts receivable, Medicaid billing, or managed care billing experience.
• At least 2 years of leadership, supervisory, or team management experience.
• Experience managing Medicaid billing operations across multiple states, including eligibility, authorizations, waiver programs, managed care, claims, denials, and collections.
• Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement regulations and experience with EMR, billing, and revenue cycle platforms.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint, with strong analytical, communication, training, and presentation skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in assisted living, senior living, long-term care, skilled nursing, or other healthcare environments.
• Experience with HCBS waiver programs, ALW, ALTCS, STAR+PLUS, Family Care, or other state-specific Medicaid programs.
• Certified Revenue Cycle Representative certification or similar healthcare revenue cycle certification.
• Experience supporting centralized billing across multiple communities or regions.
