Software Engineers – Internship Summer 2027

Location: Oslo, Norway. On-site, 8-week internship from June 14 to August 6, 2027.

What you will do

• Work on the hirify.global video conferencing product with the Engineering team.
• Build and improve highly scalable distributed cloud systems.
• Contribute to software that serves thousands of users.
• Collaborate with engineers to prioritize features and solve customer challenges.
• Take part in meaningful, ambitious technology projects with ownership of your work.

Requirements

• Be proficient in at least one programming language: C, C#, C++, Python, or Go.
• Be graduating with a master’s degree in spring or fall 2028.
• Provide a GitHub repository or comparable examples of existing code.
• Be available for the full 8-week internship in Oslo from June 14 to August 6, 2027.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of network programming and network-oriented design patterns.
• Experience profiling and optimizing backend code.
• Understanding of performance patterns and anti-patterns in distributed systems.
• Experience with microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, or AWS ECS.
• Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, Azure Resource Manager, Chef, or Ansible.
