Senior Consultant, Data Science & Analytics (AI)

Location: Remote in Costa Rica, with the position associated with Lagunilla de Heredia and occasional in-person attendance at work-related events.

What you will do

• Lead the design and delivery of complex machine learning, advanced analytics, and artificial intelligence solutions.
• Establish technical standards, reusable practices, and solution-design approaches that improve scalability, quality, and performance.
• Provide technical direction across projects and lead initiatives from problem definition through production implementation and continuous improvement.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and business leaders to align analytical solutions with strategic priorities.
• Present analytical findings, business impact, and recommendations to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Mentor team members, lead knowledge-sharing activities, and contribute technical expertise to hiring.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative field, or equivalent relevant knowledge and experience.
• Four to six years of experience in data science, machine learning, advanced analytics, or a related discipline.
• Experience leading complex analytics or machine learning initiatives through design, development, implementation, and delivery.
• Advanced knowledge of machine learning and statistical modeling.
• Advanced proficiency with Python and SQL, plus experience with BigQuery and modern machine learning ecosystems.
• Experience developing scalable, production-grade machine learning solutions and providing technical guidance to colleagues.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or doctorate in a quantitative or related field.
• Experience with cloud-based artificial intelligence and analytics platforms.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale artificial intelligence or machine learning initiatives.
• Knowledge or experience in fraud, marketing, or communication solutions.
