Data & Analytics Expert (Hybrid)

Location: Bratislava, Slovakia; hybrid work

Base salary: €3,300–€5,400 per month for a full-time role, plus performance-based variable compensation.

What you will do

• Translate ambiguous business needs into analytical problem statements, hypotheses, and scalable data-driven solutions.
• Design and develop advanced analytics, machine learning, NLP, and Generative AI solutions.
• Own delivery from data exploration and proof-of-concept development through validation, production deployment, monitoring, and improvement.
• Identify data gaps and quality issues and improve data collection and analytical readiness with stakeholders.
• Lead two data scientists and analysts through technical guidance, solution reviews, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT, D&T, and senior leaders to deliver measurable business impact.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in STEM, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• At least 6 years of hands-on experience in data science, advanced analytics, or machine learning.
• Strong knowledge of statistics, probability, experimental design, classical machine learning, feature engineering, hyperparameter tuning, and model evaluation.
• Hands-on experience with NLP and Generative AI use cases, including LLMs, prompt engineering, and RAG.
• Proficiency in Python and Spark/PySpark, with experience using common machine learning and AI libraries.
• Ability to communicate complex analytical concepts, influence senior stakeholders, and mentor team members.

Nice to have

• SQL and Power BI experience.
• Insurance or reinsurance domain exposure.
