Instructional Developer

Location: Lansing, Michigan, United States; initial training is in person, with work-from-home flexibility determined by job responsibilities and leadership.

What you will do

• Assemble provided content into online learning using eLearning, prototyping, graphics, and related software.
• Develop visual design concepts, graphics, screen mock-ups, storylines, and storyboards with business users, IT, and subject matter experts.
• Record video audio using approved scripts and create knowledge checkpoints to assess learning effectiveness.
• Troubleshoot learning management system issues and proofread and edit scripts.
• Apply usability and user-centered design practices while coordinating multiple training projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, education, educational technology, or a related field, or several years of related experience or training.
• Strong organization, communication, leadership, problem-solving, spelling, and grammar skills.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals and teams and communicate clearly in oral and written formats.
• Ability to oversee and facilitate multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship is required.
• Regular attendance at a company-approved work location and in-person initial training are required.

Nice to have

• Experience in eLearning development, graphic design, or video production.
