Senior Cloud Observability Engineer

Salary: $60–$74 per hour

What you will do

• Design, implement, and manage monitoring and observability solutions across AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
• Integrate cloud-native and third-party observability platforms, dashboards, alerts, health checks, reports, and service visibility frameworks.
• Collect and analyze metrics, logs, traces, events, and telemetry to support troubleshooting, incident response, performance monitoring, and capacity planning.
• Deploy monitoring and infrastructure configurations with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Build and maintain automated deployments using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, landing zone pipelines, and Auto SDLC processes.
• Collaborate with cloud, platform, security, operations, and other stakeholders to improve observability coverage, alert quality, documentation, and operational readiness.

Requirements

• New York, New York, United States location and availability for a contract engagement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Senior-level hands-on experience designing and operating monitoring and observability solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Strong experience with Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, hybrid cloud environments, and multi-cloud architecture.
• Experience with enterprise observability platforms such as Datadog, Dynatrace, Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, New Relic, or AppDynamics.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex production issues, drive incident resolution, and create operational documentation and runbooks.

Nice to have

• Experience in mobile operations or related technology operations environments.
