Digital Asset Specialist Consultant

Location: Remote/Virtual, associated with Oceanside, California

Salary: $25–$35 per hour

What you will do

• Maintain the organization, metadata, tagging conventions, and folder hierarchy of the Canto digital asset library.
• Build and manage upload links and portals for national and chapter-level content submissions.
• Guide internal users on upload procedures and provide documentation for intake workflows.
• Review photo submissions for quality, relevance, brand compliance, and privacy standards, approving or rejecting assets as appropriate.
• Audit legacy media libraries, remove duplicates and outdated files, and normalize tagging and categorization.
• Recommend digital asset management improvements and collaborate with internal stakeholders on program needs.

Requirements

• Experience managing digital assets, media libraries, or comparable content systems.
• Ability to administer Canto libraries, portals, metadata, taxonomies, and upload workflows.
• Ability to assess image quality, relevance, privacy, and compliance requirements.
• Ability to identify sensitive information such as visible nametapes and other identifying details.
• Ability to work independently and deliver project-based, outcome-driven services.
