Billing & Collections Manager (Healthcare)

Location: Salt Lake City, UT area, United States; onsite five days a week at the Cottonwood Heights office

What you will do

• Lead and supervise the Billing and Collections teams, including coaching, performance management, recruiting, and workload coordination.
• Own full-cycle collections, customer outreach, account reconciliation, aging reviews, and recovery strategies.
• Set targets and improve Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), SLA adherence, billing accuracy, and team productivity.
• Resolve complex billing disputes and customer escalations while partnering with Customer Success, Sales, and Operations.
• Manage BillingPlatform and NetSuite Zone Billing configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and process improvements.
• Prepare and present reports and KPIs covering collections performance, DSO, aging, and productivity.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or collections, including 2+ years supervising or leading a team.
• Demonstrated success improving DSO and collections outcomes in a full-cycle collections environment.
• Strong knowledge of billing procedures, collection techniques, debt collection regulations such as FDCPA, and customer contract interpretation.
• Hands-on billing platform management experience; BillingPlatform and/or NetSuite Zone Billing experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, reporting, and Microsoft Excel skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with usage-based or census-based billing models.
• Familiarity with YayPay, Salesforce, Zendesk, and Claude AI.
