Salary: £40,575–£44,184 per annum.

Havering SEND and Alternative Provision Service is a multidisciplinary local authority service supporting children and young people with SEND, their families, schools, and educational settings.

What you will do

• Support Early Years settings to identify, assess, and meet the needs of children with SEND.
• Provide advice, guidance, training, and modelling of inclusive practice to setting-based SENCOs and practitioners.
• Help settings embed evidence-informed interventions and strategies.
• Work with families and carers to help them understand and navigate SEND pathways.
• Support successful transition planning for children moving into school-based settings.
• Contribute to borough-wide workforce development and SEND improvement priorities.

Requirements

• Experience and capability relevant to supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities in Early Years settings.
• Ability to advise and train SENCOs and practitioners on inclusive practice.
• Ability to work collaboratively with families, carers, schools, and multidisciplinary professionals.
• An enhanced DBS check is required.
