Senior Databricks Consultant (AI)

Location: Arlington, Virginia office or remote within the United States; ability to travel to customer sites as needed

Salary: $175,000–$250,000 annually

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines in Databricks.
• Optimize Databricks workflows and clusters for performance and cost efficiency.
• Integrate Databricks environments with AWS, Azure, and GCP platforms.
• Implement data governance, security, and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality datasets and insights.
• Troubleshoot data infrastructure issues and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• US citizenship required by contract.
• Production experience with Databricks and hands-on experience building and managing ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Strong proficiency in Python and/or SQL, with experience in Apache Spark and distributed data processing.
• Knowledge of data lakehouse architecture, data modeling, data quality, and performance tuning.
• Experience with AWS S3, Azure Data Lake, or GCP Storage, plus familiarity with CI/CD and Git.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• Experience with MLflow, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, streaming technologies, or data visualization tools.
• Experience with Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation, DevOps/MLOps, data security, and compliance frameworks.
• Prior consulting or customer-facing experience, project management, and Agile familiarity.
