Senior Databricks Consultant (AI)

Location: Arlington, Virginia office or remote within the United States. Ability to travel to customer sites as needed. US citizenship and an active DHS Public Trust Clearance are required.

Salary: $175,000–$250,000 annually

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines in Databricks.
• Optimize Databricks workflows and clusters for performance and cost efficiency.
• Integrate Databricks environments with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms.
• Implement data governance, security, and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver datasets and insights.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Active DHS Public Trust Clearance and US citizenship required.
• Production experience with Databricks and hands-on experience building and managing ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Strong proficiency in Python and/or SQL, with experience using Apache Spark for distributed data processing.
• Knowledge of data lakehouse architecture, data modeling, data quality, and performance tuning.
• Experience with cloud data platforms such as AWS S3, Azure Data Lake, or GCP Storage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• Experience with MLflow, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and Databricks machine learning pipelines.
• Familiarity with Kafka, Kinesis, Event Hubs, Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Terraform, ARM, or CloudFormation.
• Background in data security, compliance, DevOps/MLOps, consulting, or customer-facing delivery.
• Project management experience and familiarity with Agile methodologies.
