Project Manager II (SaaS)

Location: On-site in Chicago, Illinois, United States; occasional travel to customer sites is required.

Salary: $82,000–$92,000 per year, including base compensation and a portion of performance-based variable compensation.

What you will do

• Manage scopes, timelines, budgets, deliverables, and risks across multiple 4–9 month SaaS implementation projects.
• Serve as the primary day-to-day client contact for finance directors, grants officers, budget managers, IT teams, and project sponsors.
• Coordinate requirements, user acceptance testing, training, enablement, and go-live execution with technical implementation analysts and solution consultants.
• Track project status, budget health, compliance readiness, user enablement, adoption risks, and delivery metrics.
• Support sales activities, statements of work, customer discovery, and realistic project scoping.
• Improve project delivery frameworks, implementation checklists, communication cadences, and UAT playbooks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of project management or related experience in a SaaS environment.
• Experience with software implementation processes, project lifecycle management, and managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate between technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with project management and CRM tools, including Rocketlane, Gong, Jira, Google Workspace, and Slack.
• Experience with public-sector or government SaaS implementations and familiarity with government finance, grants, budgeting, or compliance workflows.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of 2 CFR 200, audit requirements, subrecipient monitoring, or CDBG.
• PMP or CAPM certification, or willingness to pursue certification within 12 months.
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma, Shiftology, or similar process improvement methodologies.
