TL;DR
IT Officer (Microsoft 365/Networking): Providing first-line IT support and maintaining devices, networks, connectivity, security controls, and approved business applications for IRC Ukraine with an accent on user support, infrastructure reliability, and information security. Focus on troubleshooting Windows and Microsoft 365 environments, administering networks and endpoints, supporting field-site connectivity, and implementing backup and security procedures.

Location: Kyiv, Ukraine; based in the Kyiv office and requiring on-site work. Travel to other IRC offices and field sites is required. Flexible working arrangements are subject to approval.

What you will do

  • Provide first-line IT support for users across the Ukraine country program and manage requests through ServiceNow.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, peripherals, operating systems, approved software, and network devices.
  • Support wired and wireless networks, WAN connectivity, firewalls, communication resources, user accounts, Active Directory, Windows Server, and VMware systems.
  • Implement endpoint security, backup solutions, recovery testing, patching, and routine security checks.
  • Maintain IT asset, software license, configuration, network, and support documentation.
  • Deliver user induction and training, support IT projects, and coordinate with field offices, Service Desk, regional and headquarters IT teams, Supply Chain, and service providers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1–2 years of relevant experience with NGOs or international organizations.
  • Practical experience with Windows, Microsoft 365, endpoint protection, computer imaging, hardware, software, and peripherals.
  • Experience with wired and wireless networks, LAN/WAN connectivity, firewalls, and technologies such as TP-Link, UniFi, and Cisco Meraki SD-WAN.
  • Experience with ServiceNow or a similar IT ticketing system, IT asset management, and technical documentation.
  • Good written and spoken English and Ukrainian are required. Willingness and ability to travel to field sites is required.

Nice to have

  • Microsoft, CCNA, ITIL/ITSM, or equivalent certifications and training.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure or Google Workspace.
  • Knowledge or experience implementing Starlink technologies.
  • Knowledge of Russian or other relevant languages.
