Housing & Integration Specialist

Location: Tucson, Arizona, United States; hybrid work combining office, remote, and field time within the service delivery area

What you will do

• Provide housing stability case management to clients working toward long-term housing security and self-sufficiency.
• Educate clients on tenant rights, lease renewals, move-in and move-out procedures, maintenance requests, and address changes.
• Provide financial education on budgeting for rent, utilities, and sustainable housing costs.
• Assist with applications, recertifications, and renewals for public and subsidized housing programs, including Housing Choice Vouchers and Section 8.
• Identify eviction and housing-loss risks, coordinate emergency rental assistance, and advocate with landlords and housing authorities.
• Maintain client records, track program outcomes, collaborate with partners, and potentially lead support staff, volunteers, and interns.

Requirements

• Must use a personal insured vehicle and hold a valid driver’s license for travel to client homes, housing authorities, and community partners.
• At least one year of relevant professional experience.
• Strong relationship-building, diplomacy, networking, organizational, planning, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• Ability to communicate and work effectively in a multicultural environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, including data entry and documentation.
• Fluent English, spoken and written; proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, internet, and digital tools.

Nice to have

• Experience working with refugee or immigrant populations.
• Knowledge of public and subsidized housing systems, including Housing Choice Voucher and Section 8 processes.
