AI Agent Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Hilversum, Netherlands; applicants must live within commuting distance of the Hilversum office. The role follows a 60:40 home-office policy, with the possibility to work from abroad for up to two weeks per year.

hirify.global is a fashion retailer with a growing AI team focused on improving head-office work through automation.

What you will do

• Map departmental processes and assess whether AI agents can reliably automate routine work.
• Build and operate production agents using Microsoft 365, Google Cloud, Anthropic models, and the tools and data used by each role.
• Design safe agent workflows with named ownership, read access by default, approval-controlled write access, and human confirmation for consequential actions.
• Own monitoring, evaluation, maintenance, troubleshooting, documentation, and reusable agent components.
• Onboard and train users, collect feedback, and build trust with HR and department leads.
• Provide basic backup support for the Creative AI Engineer.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with automation, robotic process automation, Power Platform, workflow tools, and language-model-based agents.
• Experience with Python or TypeScript, APIs, system integration, and at least one of Microsoft 365 and Copilot Studio, Google Cloud agent tooling, or Anthropic agent tooling.
• Experience testing agent outputs, handling exceptions, keeping people in the loop, and operating systems used in production.
• Ability to distinguish routine tasks from work requiring judgment and estimate automation effort realistically.
• Strong understanding of data access, privacy, and the risks of agents changing business data.
• Written and verbal English communication skills required. Dutch is a plus.

• Experience with the Model Context Protocol.
• Dutch language skills.
