Senior Software Engineer - APIs

Location: Remote within the continental United States; preference for candidates in the EST time zone and selected states including CT, CO, FL, GA, IL, IA, IN, MD, NC, NJ, NM, NY, PA, RI, SC, TX, VA, and WV. Occasional travel may be required.

Salary: $125,000–$145,000 annual base salary

What you will do

• Develop and maintain customer-facing and internal REST APIs for large location-intelligence datasets.
• Translate business initiatives into technical requirements and production-ready applications.
• Design and maintain Snowflake data lake tables, load processes, and efficient SQL queries for fast API responses.
• Create unit, integration, and runtime tests, along with internal and customer-facing documentation.
• Create data, metrics, and visualizations for algorithm verification and optimization.
• Collaborate with engineering and product development teams and participate in the on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Java 8+ software development experience with the Java Spring Framework for REST APIs.
• Strong SQL and database design skills; Snowflake SQL is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with Amazon Web Services and its application deployment and debugging services.
• Experience processing JSON and GeoJSON data, plus proficiency in Scala, Python, or similar languages.
• Experience taking applications from requirements elaboration through development and production, with proficiency in Agile methodologies.
• Fluency in English and residence in the continental United States are required.
