Software Engineering Group Mgr. - Kubernetes CaaS Platform

Location: In-office in Farmers Branch, TX, or based in Pittsburgh, PA; Strongsville, OH; Birmingham, AL; Phoenix, AZ; Denver, CO; or Dallas, TX.

Base salary: $100,000–$211,600 per year, plus incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Define the strategy, architecture, roadmap, and adoption plan for Kubernetes and container-as-a-service platforms.
• Design, deploy, and manage highly available, secure, and scalable container infrastructure across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Lead product development for container runtime, security, orchestration, self-service capabilities, APIs, and technical documentation.
• Establish standards for Kubernetes, CI/CD, microservices deployment, observability, logging, monitoring, tracing, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Partner with DevOps, security, networking, and engineering teams to improve reliability, performance, resource efficiency, and cost management.
• Lead and mentor engineering teams, manage stakeholders, and translate customer and market requirements into technical solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of technology experience and extensive experience leading container platform engineering teams; 5+ years of management experience is typically required.
• Expert-level experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, CI/CD tools, public cloud providers, and platform engineering.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and on-premises platforms such as OpenShift or bare-metal Kubernetes.
• Experience leading technical strategy in a matrixed organization and communicating complex technology topics to non-technical stakeholders.
• No employment visa sponsorship or STEM OPT participation is available.

Nice to have

• Experience with ArgoCD, GitOps, Kubernetes networking, RBAC, cluster architecture, and container security.
• Experience with hybrid-cloud and multi-cloud environments and enterprise integrations.
• CKA, CKAD, CKS, CSPO, SAFe POPM, or AWS/Azure/GCP certifications.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and Jira, Rally, or ADO.
