Accounting Manager (Oil & Gas)

Location: Houston, Texas, United States; onsite five days a week. Relocation is available. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $128,470–$192,710 per year

What you will do

• Lead financial statement preparation, review, management reporting, and accounting close activities.
• Manage general ledger operations, account reconciliations, reporting, and financial controls.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, and corporate accounting policies.
• Develop forecasting, financial performance reporting, and analytical processes to support business decisions.
• Drive improvements to accounting processes, systems, and internal controls.
• Coach accounting professionals and collaborate with finance, operations, tax, treasury, and business leaders.

Requirements

• Experience with complex financial reporting, financial analysis, and accounting operations.
• Ability to identify root causes, quantify risks, resolve complex accounting issues, and make sound recommendations.
• Experience leading teams, setting performance expectations, coaching employees, and developing talent.
• Experience improving accounting processes and implementing sustainable solutions.
• Ability to work onsite in Houston five days a week.
• Must not require visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification.
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, energy, engineering, or Fortune 500 environments.
• Experience with multi-entity, multi-location, or global accounting operations.
