What you will do
- Prepare monthly financial entries, account reconciliations, schedules, statements, and reports for refinery expenses and related activity.
- Participate in monthly financial closeout activities.
- Support annual refinery expense budgeting, monthly updates, forecasting, and analysis of actual versus budgeted expenditures.
- Assist with new accounting procedures, accounting systems, financial applications, and process improvements.
- Support special projects, other accounting functions, and the biennial Solomon Benchmarking Survey.
- Communicate financial information to accounting, operations, management, and other company locations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of accounting or finance experience.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Previous refinery accounting experience with is preferred.
