Cloud Solutions Engineer (Azure)

Location: 100% remote within the United States

What you will do

• Design and operate enterprise-grade Azure architectures covering compute, networking, storage, identity, data, scalability, security, and cost management.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code with Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates, using version control and peer review.
• Architect and operate Azure Kubernetes Service clusters, including node pools, autoscaling, network policies, registries, and service mesh integrations.
• Build CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions and implement observability with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, dashboards, alerting, and SLO tracking.
• Implement security, governance, disaster recovery, business continuity, backup, geo-replication, and compliance controls across production workloads.
• Collaborate with application, security, and SRE teams, automate operational work with PowerShell, Bash, and Python, mentor junior engineers, and lead architecture reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least five years of cloud engineering experience, including at least three years focused on Microsoft Azure in production environments.
• Hands-on experience with Azure core services, infrastructure as code, Azure Kubernetes Service, and CI/CD for infrastructure and applications.
• Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, and Python.
• Deep knowledge of cloud security, identity management, compliance, monitoring, alerting, observability, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; new H-1B visa petitions cannot be sponsored.

Nice to have

• Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert certification.
• Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud environments, service meshes such as Istio or Linkerd, FinOps, and cloud cost-management tooling.
• Experience with regulated environments such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOC 2, or FedRAMP.
