Embedded Semiconductor Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: 100% remote within the Continental United States

What you will do

• Design and build software tooling for semiconductor design and verification workflows.
• Develop firmware, drivers, BSPs, and low-level software that interacts directly with silicon.
• Build compute-farm and cloud infrastructure for large-scale EDA tool execution.
• Develop post-silicon validation tooling, including programmable stimulus generation, test orchestration, and result aggregation.
• Build data pipelines, debugging tools, and diagnostic infrastructure for design, characterization, and silicon bring-up.
• Lead architecture and code reviews, collaborate with hardware and cross-functional teams, maintain technical documentation, and mentor engineers.

Requirements

• Must be located in the Continental United States.
• Six or more years of software engineering experience with significant semiconductor experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong programming skills in C, C++, and Python.
• Experience with EDA, verification, or post-silicon validation workflows and low-level hardware-software interaction.
• Experience with large-scale compute infrastructure, scripting, automation, data pipelines, debugging, and technical documentation.

Nice to have

• Exposure to SystemVerilog or other HDLs and familiarity with UVM-based verification.
• Experience with cloud-based EDA workflows.
• Hands-on experience applying ML to silicon design.
• Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
