Freelance Proofreader (German, Crypto Casino)

Licensed crypto casino and sportsbook with an English-first product and an existing German UI translation.

What you will do

• Review approximately 1,100 German UI strings directly inside the product staging site.
• Test 10 flows, including sign-up, deposits, withdrawals, bonuses, loyalty, verification, promotions, chat, the bets feed, and error states.
• Check the product on desktop and mobile-width layouts, including approximately 160 flagged strings for truncation.
• Log each issue against its string key with a screenshot, severity rating, and proposed correction.
• Apply the style guide covering the du register, Duden spelling with ß, sentence case, dash usage, and the locked glossary.
• Continue reviewing new strings for approximately two hours per month after the initial review.

Requirements

• Advanced German at C2 level, with DE/AT/CH language awareness.
• Experience reviewing or writing gambling-related content.
• Comfort working with i18n keys, placeholders such as {amount}, and ICU plurals.
• Ability to work independently as an individual freelancer, not an agency.
• No machine translation.

Nice to have

• Experience with Stake- or Shuffle-type gambling sites.
• Previous work for a gambling operator or in casino affiliate content.
