Project Controls Specialist

Location: Plainfield, Illinois, United States. Permanent work location is a regional operations office, with possible temporary assignments to project sites and business travel.

Salary: USD $78,748–$98,435 annually

What you will do

• Develop and manage project budgets, cost breakdown structures, financial forecasts, commitments, actual spending, and invoicing support.
• Lead work breakdown structure and project schedule development with the project team.
• Facilitate schedule updates, critical-path analysis, schedule reviews, impact reporting, and recovery planning.
• Develop progress measurement processes and maintain internal and client reporting.
• Support change management through change identification, estimating, pricing, and reporting.
• Review project risks and support the Project Manager during management and client reviews.

Requirements

• 5+ years of EPC experience in project controls.
• Degree or diploma in Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
• Experience with project controls scheduling and cost software.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Excel, and databases; experience with JDE Enterprise or other cost-accounting software.
• Knowledge of estimating, change management, progress measurement, risk management, construction planning, and contract provisions.
• Ability to work from the Plainfield regional operations office, temporarily work at project sites, and travel for business trips, meetings, or training.
