Senior Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in the New York office; legal authorization to work in the country of application required

What you will do

• Own feature areas from requirements and architecture through implementation, testing, deployment, and iteration.
• Build and ship ML and computer vision capabilities with full-stack interfaces, APIs, backend services, and infrastructure.
• Use AI coding tools such as Copilot and Codex while validating code for correctness, security, and maintainability.
• Break ambiguous work into milestones and coordinate dependencies with colleagues across the UK, Spain, and China.
• Lead design and code reviews, unblock engineers, and establish standards for testing, observability, and production reliability.
• Contribute to the open-source ecosystem through maintainable code, documentation, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Senior-to-principal or distinguished-level industry delivery experience with sustained feature ownership and technical-lead accountability.
• Production experience delivering ML or AI and computer vision systems.
• Strong Python and PyTorch proficiency beyond coursework or research.
• Full-stack capability across user interfaces, APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, deployment, and production operations.
• Experience with AI-assisted development, code review, asynchronous communication, work breakdown, and deadline delivery.
• Legal authorization to work in the country of application is required.

Nice to have

• TypeScript, React, and Python API frameworks such as FastAPI.
• PostgreSQL, Docker, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and cloud platforms.
• Model serving, GPU optimization, inference monitoring, or edge deployment experience.
• Open-source contributions and developer community engagement.
• Experience building products and technical practices across international teams.
