Construction Field Engineer (Civil Infrastructure)

Location: Baltimore, Maryland, United States; work across office, field, and project-site environments is required.

Salary: $74,840–$108,400 per year.

What you will do

• Provide engineering support for heavy civil and airport infrastructure construction, including earthwork, pavement, and concrete work.
• Perform field observations and inspections to verify compliance with plans, specifications, and project requirements.
• Monitor construction schedules, quantities, progress, and project documentation.
• Support materials testing, quality assurance activities, safety briefings, project meetings, and coordination sessions.
• Maintain daily reports, field records, photographs, and other construction documentation.
• Support project managers and senior engineers in resolving technical and construction-related challenges.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in engineering or a related construction field.
• 0–4 years of experience supporting civil, transportation, utility, or other infrastructure projects.
• Understanding of construction plans, specifications, engineering drawings, and contract documents such as RFIs and submittals.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites.
• Ability to work effectively in both office and field environments.
